Billboard published their Top Money-Makers List of 2015 yesterday [Thursday, May 5th], and J. Cole earned more money than the game’s consensus biggest star Drake. J. Cole came in 27th on the list of 40, having earned 8.8 million in total revenue, collecting most of his money from touring.

Drake came in 32nd, having earned a formidable amount of 7.4 million dollars in 2015, getting most of his money from album sales. Taylor Swift dominated the list by earning 73.5 million in 2015, just over 33 million more than Kenny Chesney, who was second on the list.

The Weekend came in just behind J. Cole with 8.6 million dollars in revenue, and Nicki Minaj squeaked on, coming in at 39 with 6.3 million in revenue.

Obviously the list does not take into account the money Drake has earned since releasing Views, or the money he will get from touring his new album, so he will most likely be moving up this list next year. And J. Cole may be coming into some more money this year, with both a solo project and a collaborative album with Kendrick Lamar rumored to be dropping in 2016.
