Aesop Rock Unleashes Video For “Dorks” Off The Impossible Kid

Fresh on the heels of his latest album, The Impossible Kid, Aesop Rock (real name Ian Bavitz) has unleashed the third video for album standout track, “Dorks.” Created by Rob Show, “Dorks” pokes fun at the idolatry of music culture in a series of verses carefully crafted by the creative wordsmith.

In a recent interview, he explained the concept behind the song. “For me, I think it’s the people who think they are the coolest,” Bavtiz says. “Nothing really knocks a ‘cool’ guy down a few pegs like a goofy insult and the word ‘dork’ just kinda rose to the occasion. For whatever reason, that type of stuff repels me more than almost anything, and it’s so pervasive in music or anything that relies on taste-making and fads and such.”
