The reports, delivered by The Big Lead, also mention a new role for Mike Ditka, who will continue as a member of the company fulfilling some sort of at-home role, where he won’t be required to be in studio during Sunday and Monday NFL games. He will be replaced in the studio by ex-Seahawks/Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck.

Earlier this year, ESPN made another major former-player hire in all-time great defensive back Charles Woodson, whose role has not yet been clearly defined.
