It’s hard to fathom that not only have we lost Prince, one of the most iconic and influential musicians to ever live, but as of Friday, June 3, we’ve also lost Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest athletes to grace this Earth and a champion among men.
In a video floating around the internet recently, Prince speaks about meeting Ali for the first time and credits The Source and Jones magazines owner/publisher (and founder of The NorthStar Group) L.
To have that kind of talent in one room must have been overwhelming for those in attendance, but to Prince and Ali, it was simply two deeply spiritual men finally crossing paths.
In the video, Prince says, “Muhammad is my hero and has been since I was a child.”
Mr. McMillan shares, “I called Prince to see if he wanted to join me in supporting Muhammad Ali for a World Healing event. He immediately said yes and when Prince met Muhammad Ali, he was so happy.
“I never saw Prince so honored and Muhammad Ali was also very thrilled,” McMillan continues. “It was a highlight of my career to bring the greatest athlete and artist together for a cause even greater than themselves, which was to heal the world. God Bless them and may they rest in peace!”
