NC State coach Elliott Avent went CRAZY over this non-strike call! pic.twitter.com/fchtf2GAlK

We’ve seen coaches get really riled up and agitated during basketball, football and hockey games, but there’s really nothing like the over-the-top, I’m-just-doing-this-to-fire-my-players-up baseball manager tantrum. It’s both a spectacle and, when done right, a thing of beauty.
That being said, North Carolina State manager Elliott Avent has submitted his candidate for tantrum of the year. After his pitcher didn’t get a really close third-strike call in the 3rd inning of today’s game against Coastal Carolina, Event stormed the field, and was promptly ejected from the game. Oblivious to his tossing, Event begins screaming mercilessly at one of the umpires, and when another ump tries to come in between the irate manager and said umpire, Event evades and puts a spin move on him to continue his fiery rant.
Just look at these freeze-frames.
This guy should be runningbacks coach for the football team, too.
