The BET Awards may be this Sunday, June 25, but the weekend has already started with the BET Experience that’s bringing a ton of great events before the awards.
The big weekend kicks-off with two concerts tonight [Friday, June 24]: Usher and Bryson Tiller 7:30 pm EST, and Metro Boomin at 11pm EST. Saturday is full of events that you won’t want to miss, including the Sprite Celebrity basketball game and BET’s Genius talks with several big name guests.
The Sprite Celebrity basketball game starts at 1pm EST and will feature a lot of big names, such as Nick Cannon, Snoop Dogg, Desiigner, Meek Mill and Floyd Mayweather. There is also a Slam Dunk Contest following the celeb game, which is sure to be entertaining.
Other big names won’t be on the court, but instead sharing their wisdom with BET’s Genius Talks throughout the day. DJ Khaled will certainly be dropping major keys at his talk, which starts at 4pm EST, and don’t miss Gabrielle Union speaking about Black women in Hollywood at 5:30pm EST and the moguls, Birdman, Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri, speaking at 7pm EST.
Saturday night is capped with performances from Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz at 7pm and The Roots, featuring special guests, at 11pm. Sunday, coverage of the red carpet begins at 12:45, with the awards show beginning at 5:30pm EST. Most the events can be live-streamed at BET.com, and of course you can tune-in on your TVs to watch the action live.
