Rihanna‘s been on fire the last couple of weeks, and it looks like her run is just going to continue with the release of the music video for “Sledgehammer,” Ri Ri’s contribution to the Star Trek Beyond soundtrack.
It’s been a frenzied first half of 2016 for Rihanna, who released her 8th studio album, ANTI, in January, reigned atop the Billboard Hot 100 for 9 weeks, toured North America with Travi$ Scott, performed at Coachella, dropped shoes, sunglass and fragrance collaborations and found time to craft another top 10 hit with Calvin Harris, “This Is What You Came For.”
For the second consecutive week, we get a new Rihanna music video–the visual for her Calvin Harris collab dropped a week ago–and for the second consecutive week, we’re captivated by the Bajan beauty’s aura. Surrounded by the extra terrestrial and adorned with tribal insignias, Rih belts out the emotional ballad, co-written by Sia, as special effects dance around her.
