On Friday [July 1], Kanye West’s latest album, The Life of Pablo, was an answer on Jeopardy. Even with all the publicity Kanye has gotten this year, and over his whole career really, not one contestant could answer the question.
One of the contestants chose the category “I’d like to thank…” for $600, and the answer he got was:
“Kanye West for giving us so many different versions to choose from of this early 2016 album.”
Clearly none of the contestants had heard any of the versions of Kanye’s latest album, and Alex Trebek had to enlighten them on the answer. Mike Dean, one of Kanye’s producers, was apparently watching this episode of Jeopardy, because he posted a video of the awkward exchange on his Instagram account.
Maybe one day Kanye will dominant day time television, but in the meantime he’ll just have to settle for everything else.
