Draymond Green Arrested For Assault In Michigan

It has been reported by MLive that Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has been arrested for assault in East Lansing, Michigan. There’s not much information shed on what exactly took place as of yet, but Green has a reported 10 days to return to East Lansing in order for arraignment to be processed for charge.

The Warriors do know of the news surrounding Green, but aren’t looking to give further statements until more is known in the case. “We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in Michigan over the weekend,” Warriors mentioned in a press release. “At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation.”

Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth of the East Lansing Police Department told Brendan F. Quinn of MLive that “the police department is not confirming any arrest with that name [Draymond Green].” However, Scott seemed to throw hints, saying “What I can confirm is that we did arrest a current NBA basketball player this weekend and he was arrested for assault. That’s all we’re confirming right now.”
