In 2011 Rebecca Black became a 13-year-old internet sensation through her song “Friday.” For those who don’t recognize the infamous tune by name, recalling it is almost inevitable (for better or worse).
The video became a YouTube sensation, gaining over 99 million views, 2 million dislikes, and millions of negative comments; some claiming “it is the worst song they’ve ever heard.”
She is now 19, and continues to sing and pursue her goals as a pop singer. Yesterday she released a new video for her single “The Great Divide.”
