Colin Kaepernick’s #7 San Fransisco 49ers jersey has skyrocketed to the number 1 selling jersey in the NFL shop. A growing number of people purchased his jersey to support his decision to sit out during the national anthem.

Public figures like Jabari Parker, J. Cole, and Trey Songz have been seen sporting his jersey following his courageous act. Fans from across the country have also showed their love by buying and wearing the $100 jersey. Kaepernick noticed the sale spike, and plans to pay it forward.

He took to Instagram to express his gratitude with a picture of fans and celebrities with his jersey on captioned with the following statement:

I want to thank everyone who has shown me love and support, it truly means a lot! I wasn’t expecting my jersey sales to jump to number one because of this, but it shows the people’s belief that we can achieve justice and equality for ALL! The only way I can repay you for the support is to return the favor by donating all the proceeds I receive from my jersey sales back into the communities! I believe in the people, and WE can be the change!

My Brother! United as One! @e_reid35
