Solange’s conscious and emotion-driven album A Seat At The Table resonated with all kinds of people around the world. Though every song on the album seemed to derive from a very creative and thoughtful place, “Cranes in the Sky” reached the masses in a positively different way.
Just when it seemed the song was already perfect enough, Common elevated it with a verse only he could offer. Fitting to the song and true to his style, the Chicago artist says he was so inspired by it that he decided to write a verse; and that inspiration shines through as he adds an emotionally relatable flair that complements the song’s message, perfectly.
