Mary J. Blige is taking her latest album on the road. Today the “Queen of Hip of Hip Hop Soul” announced that she’s embarking on a 21-city tour in support of her latest album Strength of a Woman.
The tour kicks off in July in Chicago at the Chicago Theater and will make numerous stops across the country before closing out in California in September. Grammy-winning singer Lalah Hathaway will open all dates.
Blige’s latest single “Thick of It” earned the singer her longest-running No. 1 single to date, while Strength of a Woman rests at No. 3 on the May 20th Billboard 200 chart.
Tickets for the Strength of a Woman tour go on sale this Friday (May 19).
