Netflix Raises Its Subscription Prices (Again)

Netflix’s prince went up, again.

The streaming service is raising prices for middle and top-tier U.S. subscribers on November 4th. According to Mashable, those who pay $9.99/mo. will now pay $10.99/mo., and those who have the $11.99/mo. premium plan will pay $13.99/mo. But good news for subscribers with the basic $7.99/mo. plan: The price will stay the same, for now.

The price raise isn’t much of a surprise consider the amount of content Netflix has been dishing out. Although Hulu was the big winner at this year’s Emmys, Netflix received at least 90 nominees. Additionally, this isn’t the first time they’ve raised the price.

Back in 2014, the company raised the subscription fee by $1 for new customers, and honored existing customer prices until 2016.
