Power 105.1 brought Powerhouse back to the Barclays Center for the fourth consecutive year on Thursday, October 26th. This year’s star-studded line up included The Weeknd, Migos, Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert, French Montana and DJ Envy and friends.
International artist Kranium opened up the show and brought out Power’s Rotimi. His performance was followed by DJ Envy’s set and he his friends turnt up the Barclays Center. Although Fetty Wap couldn’t make it due to traveling issues to perform their single “Text Your Number”, Envy brought out A$AP Ferg, Busta Rhymes, Casanova, and Tee Grizzley.
French Montana took the stage next and performed a slew of hits like, “Pop That”, “Ain’t Worried About Nothin”, “Ocho Cinco” and of course “Unforgettable”. He couldn’t leave that stage without paying homage to China Drugs, Max B, and GS9.
Lil Uzi Vert brought the energy to the crowd. The “XO Tour Life” crooner stood on top of his DJ’s set before he dived into the pit to get closer to his fans. Cardi B took the stage after Uzi and performed songs from her mixtapes, brought out G Eazy for “No Limit”, and of course perform “Bodak Yellow”. She also shared that this performance was a special one because it’s the first one her mother came to see.
Migos came on afterwards and sung their hit songs like “Slippery”, “T-shirt”, “Too Hotty”, and previewed the rumored track “Motorsport” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
The Weeknd closed out the show performing “The Hills” and beloved throwbacks like “Crew Love”. His guest appearances included Belly and Travis Scott.
Although many people couldn’t get in because people without tickets allegedly tried to force their way into the arena and caused an entire shut down, Powerhouse 2017 was one for the books. Check us out on Instagram for more exclusive footage of the show.
