All eyes were on them. Flashing lights, tweets and pictures of PDA, only to be tore down by accusations of infidelity and ex-spouses that enter the picture. Big Sean and Naya Rivera
The rapper and the Glee star were together for a year in 2013, before getting engaged just six months later. Drama brewed under the surface among claims of distance and infidelity. According to a section of Naya Rivera’s memoir, Sorry Not Sorry, she details the moment where the relationship went downhill. “I walk in the house, go downstairs and guess what little girl is sitting cross-legged on the couch listening to music”, Rivera said. “It rhymes with Smariana Schmande”. The mystery girl was future girlfriend Ariana Grande.
Faith Evans and Christopher “B.I.G.” Wallace
In 1994, Faith Evans got married to Brooklyn-bred rapper Notorious B.I.G. They stayed together until 1997, when Biggie was killed in a drive-by shooting after leaving a party in Los Angeles. During their three-year marriage, rumors of infidelity started to develop between the two parties. Biggie accused Faith of cheating with Tupac, while Faith accused Biggie of sleeping with Lil’ Kim and multiple women.
Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj
Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj were in a two-year relationship from 2015-2017. Everything seemed to be picture-perfect for the couple, sharing loved up pictures on Instagram and even recording a music video together for “All Eyes On You” with Chris Brown. However, social media was telling a different story. Nicki Minaj had posted messages on Instagram, citing the possibility of a breakup. And in 2017, Nicki had wrote a tweet confirming that the relationship was over.
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna began a relationship in January 2016. The couple was together for a year and a few months, before splitting indefinitely in July 2017. The relationship was filled with drama on both sides, ranging from domestic violence to infidelity. In July 2017, Kardashian aired out Chyna’s dirty laundry on Twitter, accusing the former stripper of doing drugs, infidelity, and ignoring their daughter. Chyna responded to the tweet with a cryptic tweet of her own, detailing what Kardashian did to her is not the end.
Kylie Jenner and Tyga
After breaking up with his ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna (who later went on to date Rob Kardashian), Tyga started pursuing a romantic relationship with Kylie Jenner in 2014. Public backlash started to circulate around the couple because of the significant age difference (Kylie was 16, Tyga was 25). But, the couple did not care at the time. They were together for 2 years, before splitting up for good in 2016, amid Tyga’s infidelity. Soon after, Kylie went on to date Travis Scott for a few months and in February 2017, gave birth to a daughter Stormi. Currently, Tyga is asking for a paternity test to determine if the child is his among claims that he was still sleeping with Kylie around the time Stormi was conceived.
Kanye West and Amber Rose
Kanye West and Amber Rose got together in September 2008, following West’s success of his album, 808s and Heartbreak. They stayed together for two years until July 2010. Their relationship was filled of love: from matching each others’ outfits on the red carpet to Amber posing naked for Kanye’s sneaker campaign with Louis Vuitton to drinking Hennessy at the infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, sparring the infamous line by Kanye himself: “Yo Taylor, I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time”.
Iggy Azalea and Nick Young
Iggy Azalea and Nick Young got together in 2014, following a tweet written by the basketball player saying that he was crushing on the Australian rapper. A year later, Young proposed to the rapper with a 8.15-carat yellow stone, and everything seemed to be heading towards “a happily ever after” story for the couple. But, things turned sour after cheating allegations arose in March 2016, of Nick Young admitting to cheating on Azalea with a 19-year-old girl. In June 2016, Azalea decided to call off the engagement for good, announcing their split on Twitter.
