Reports out of San Antonio bring more legal issues to the forefront for Texas rapper Tay-K. The mother of an area photographer filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the rapper for a shooting in April 2017. KSAT reports the lawsuit is for a hefty $1 million in accusation of the robbery and murder of Mark Anthony Saldavir in April 2017.
Details of the incident are given in the lawsuit stating the rapper, born Taymor Travon McIntyre, shot Saldavir in a robbery for expensive camera equipment. The crime occurred in the parking lot of Chick-Fil-A and Saldavir was claimed to jump on the hood of a car to stop Tay-K and the car’s two other occupants before he was shot and killed by Tay-K. The rapper left the scene of the car and abandoned the vehicle that was used in the crime.
Tay-K was eventually arrested in New Jersey in July 2017 and is currently held without bail. He is held in Tarrant County Jail, however, that is on a separate 2016 capital murder charge. In that incident “The Race” rapper was arrested as a result of a robbery and shooting that involved five people and left another man dead.
Aside from criminal activity, Tay-K is most known for his aforementioned single “The Race,” which hit a nationwide level of popularity. The single was a story alluding to his situation and even featured the rapper posing with his own wanted post in the music video.
