Lee Daniels is taking ownership for not reimbursing Dame Dash for the $2 million he loaned him to launch his directorial career, but he doesn’t want the world to get this situation confused with what happened during his fallout with Mo’Nique.
The famed director says it’s time for Mo to ditch the tired narrative that Tyler Perry, Oprah, and himself are responsible for blackballing the comedian following their Oscar win for Precious. He insists that he gave her as much as she gave him when they made the critically-acclaimed film. Daniels compared it to “making love without having sex.”
Lee thinks Mo’Nique is playing herself and needs to quit complaining. But that’s the nice way to put it. Check out the interview below:
