This week Nicki Minaj was featured on Ella Mai’s remix “Boo’d Up” alongside Quavo while rumors swirled that she would also find herself on the remix of Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams” with Cardi B. According to the Bardi Gang leader, the second remix is just a bad rumor.
Pop Crave brought forth the news of the remix and when they let fans of the two rap superstars know that another union of verses would be coming on their Instagram but were met by Cardi in their comments to stay the news was “Dope but its not true :/.” To date, there is only one meeting of the two, the Migos single “Motorsport,” which stirred the post on their stan forced beef as Nicki shared details about its creation.
Recently Nicki Minaj has taken over headlines with news updates ranging from achievement to not so flattering moments. Taking over the charts, the Young Money rapper has tied James Brown for the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 with her recently released single “Bed” featuring Ariana Grande. On the flip side, Minaj is under scrutiny for the way she approached the criticism of her music from a writer on Twitter.
For Cardi, the accolades are continuously piling up. We recently found out she and Offset are married and their first child is due this month. On the music side, the Bronx spitter is the first rapper in history to achieve two number one records on the Hot 100.
As for a future collaboration between the two rappers, we’ll have to see what the future holds.
