Now, according to reports two more people have been arrested. One of whom authorities believe to be the high-ranking Trinitario gang member or ordered the killing–Diego Suero, 29, a Brox native.

Gabriel Ramirez Concepcion, 26, was also charged with murder. Police say he may have been on the scene at the time of the stabbing.

Suero is due in court on Wednesday (July 4) for his arraignment.  One of the eight men already in custody broke down in tears as he faced a judge.

Given the high profile of the case, the Department of Corrections is having a hard time keeping the other eight men safe. Jose Muniz, 21, Danel Fernandez, 21, and Antonio Hernandez-Santiago, 24 — are at the George R. Vierno Center on Rikers Island. This is a 50-unit isolation cell block however, they are the only occupants.

In a statement given to the Daily News, one staff member commented on the level of attention the suspects have received. “All movement in the jails stop when they move around, and we follow with a camera,” adding to that,“The department is scared to death and is doing everything they can to keep them safe.”

Authorities would like to get all the other men relocated to jurisdictions outside of the city but only two of the men have been moved to facilities in Suffolk County.

Clearly, some people have already made up their minds and would prefer to take justice into their own hands. While all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty, at the time of the murder Suero was already out on $20,000 bond after he and Jose Tavarez, 21, were found with a gun on September 27 as police responded to shots fired outside Suero’s Bronx apartment. Tavarez is one of the suspected killers already in custody.
