Rapper Shy Glizzy looks to be pursuing new opportunities outside of music after signing a deal with one of the biggest talent agencies in the world. ICM Partners announced on Thursday that the “Dope Boy Magic” rapper has signed onto their talent agency. The Platinum-selling rapper will now be represented internationally by ICM, headed by Mari Davies, with the ultimate goal of scoring more tour dates as well as other possibilities in the entertainment world.
“Shy Glizzy is a rising talent who continues to impress with each successive release,” Davies said in a press release. “We’re proud to welcome him back to ICM and look forward to continued success in the touring space, as we also look to secure him additional opportunities agency-wide.”
According to their website, ICM Partners is one of the world’s largest talent and literary agencies with offices in New York, Los Angeles, and London. The agency represents creative and technical talent in the fields of motion picture, television, books, music, live performance, branded entertainment, and new media.
The Washington D.C. born rapper is most known for his 2014 hit song “Awesome” which spent 3 weeks on the Billboard charts. Glizzy also earned a platinum plaque as a featured artist on Goldlink’s “Crew” single.
Shy Glizzy also recently released two new tracks, one titled ‘Do You Understand?’ featuring Tory Lanez and Gunna. Young Jefe also dropped a two-minute track titled “Free 3.”
With his new partnership with ICM, we should expect tour dates and possibly a new album in the near future for the 25-year-old artist.
