LeBron James first appearance as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers went down at Sunday’s (July 15) NBA Summer League match-up between the Los Angeles Lakers and Detroit Pistons in Las Vegas. Appearing in a white tee, Lakers shorts and an all-purple edition of his rookie sneaker, the Air Zoom Generation, King James was met with cheers and a standing ovation from fans in attendance.
It was rumored that LeBron would be making an appearance at the Thomas and Mack Center in Vegas, but third-year star Brandon Ingram was also on hand to watch the rising Lakers as he cheered on their efforts on the court.
For the action going on between the lines, the Lakers showed out for their new leader blasting the Pistons 101-78 to continue their undefeated record. The game was hardly ever in question, the summer league LakeShow hopped out to a 33014 lead in the first quarter and were led by second-year guard Josh Hart.
