Julio Jones Will Not Report to Atlanta Falcons Training Camp

NFL season is on the way! With the Hall of Fame game under 10 days away and training camps, open fans are checking out their team prospects and beginning to plan their Fantasy Football line-ups. If you are an Atlanta Falcons fan your attention has turned to star wide receiver Julio Jones who will not report to the start of training camp.

ESPN‘s Chris Mortensen reports Julio Jones will be holding out in hopes to receive a new contract that will increase his pay. Jones currently is playing under a five-year, $71 million contract, which holds a $12 million signing bonus and a guaranteed $47 million. The contract has three years left in its tenure.

The Falcons hope the pro-bowler has a change of heart and state they will not rework his deal. Jones is facing $40,000 penalties for each day of camp he will miss and the first practice is this Friday.
