Conor McGregor just won big in court today after getting all his felony charges charges.
The MMA champ appeared in a NYC courtroom and pled guilty to a disorderly conduct charge. In terms of his plea deal, he will have to complete an anger management program and five days community service.
He was originally charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor assault, and was facing a possible immigration issues if he would have been convicted of a felony, being that the fighter is a citizen of Ireland.
By cutting a plea deal, McGregor didn’t have to appear in a trial, thus, avoiding a stiffer penalty.
McGregor was charged after he went berserk backstage at a UFC event in NYC, where he threw a dolly at a bus, injuring several fighters.
His status in the UFC is still unknown, but getting cleared criminally will probably ease tensions between the MMA company and their star fighter.
