Earlier this year Quincy Jones grabbed every headline with his tell-all “In Conversation” interview. Now we will get to see some of the aspects of the life he spoke in a forthcoming documentary that will showcase the legend.
Deadline reports the Quincy Jones documentary will be a Netflix production and will be directed by the duo of Alan Hicks and Jones’ daughter, Rashida Jones. The film will highlight the efforts of Quincy Jones through his career from being a trumpeter for Lionel Hampton to being beside your favorites from Michael Jackson to Will Smith.
“There is really no one like Quincy,” Hicks said to Deadline. “The sheer breadth of his work alone is unparalleled, but the story of him as a man has never been comprehensively told. It was a privilege to have his trust, allowing us to capture intimate moments giving insight into the fabric of the man.

“He is such a man of action and accomplishments, but we were so lucky to spend real time with him, to let him reflect on life and the larger picture. I feel honored to be able to share that with audiences all over the world,” Rashida Jones added.
