Transgender Model Questions Omission From Travis Scott’s ‘AstroWorld’ Cover

Many fans are excited that Travis Scott’s long-awaited AstroWorld will be available Friday (Aug 3). Gold heads that popped up across the country eventually led to the album artwork that is now in the center of controversy.

The artwork was shot by photographer David LaChapelle and a second edition of the cover originally featured transgender model Amanda Lepore. However, when the cover made it to the AstroWorld creator’s Instagram, Lepore was missing.

The second cover is a little less kid-friendly than the first as it brings numerous near or completely naked individuals to the front of the entrance, replacing the children of the original art.

Speaking out on the omission, Lepore posted the original to Instagram stating: “It was great being part of @david_lachapelle s incredible photograph of @travisscott s album cover but I’m curious why I’m not on the picture @travisscott posted”
