As fans of NY Yankees star Aaron Judge await to see how quickly he’ll recover from that wrist injury, the 2017 Rookie of the Year decided to bless diehards with a treat in the form of his brand new Oakley frames as the newest member of #TeamOakley.
Setting up shop at the NYC Oakley Store on Fifth Avenue last Friday (August 10), Judge took fans on a history of his lengthy relationship with Oakley — at age 11 he had custom-colored frames to match the colors of his first softball team uniform — and why he’s happy to be officially endorsed by the Cali-based sports eyewear brand. Of course, a few fans asked about his stats and recovery time when the Q&A came around, but all eyes were definitely on his custom “99” Radar® EV Pitch® frames, which feature the innovative PRIZM lens technology. It also didn’t hurt that all fans in the shop walked away with their own pair of Judge-stamped frames. We’ll just speak for everyone when we say this: thanks AJ!
