Jeezy and Street Dreams Foundation Donate iPads, Scholarship Fund and More in ATL

This week marks one of the biggest weeks for international superstar Jeezy and his Street Dreamz Foundation. The brainchild of the Georgia born Hip-Hop artist, Street Dreamz Foundation foundation has operated for 17 years and contributed to various community-based events globally. However, this week Jeezy and newly appointed Executive Director of the Street Dreamz Foundation, Katrina Johnson, put their new philanthropic strategy in motion.

On Monday, September 10th Jeezy returned to his hometown of Hawkinsville, GA to launch his first-ever technology initiative. Jeezy and Street Dreamz Foundation donated much-needed technology to five kindergarten classrooms at Pulaski Elementary School. Katrina Johnson, Street Dreamz Foundation executive director spoke briefly about why the foundation is leading this initiative, why it was important to start in Hawkinsville and why Hawkinsville will always be a special place for Jeezy and his family. After her speech, the students were then surprised when Jeezy himself emerged into the auditorium to donate Apple iPads to five kindergarten classes on behalf of Street Dreamz Foundation. Shortly after, Jeezy and his team were given a tour of the elementary school. Jeezy also requested to speak to each kindergarten classroom individually. His message to the children was simple

“It does not matter where you are from or how small your town is…anything is possible if you dream and believe. The sky is the limit.”

On Tuesday, September 11th Jeezy made national news by running the Peachtree Road race and joining forces to raise money with Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms back in July. Fulfilling that promise, Jeezy and the Street Dreamz Foundation donated to the Atlanta Track Club “Kilometer Kids” and to the City of Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms “Youth Scholarship Program”. Jeezy presented each organization with a donation.

On Wednesday, September 12th, Jeezy hosted the launch of a special fine jewelry collection entitled “Adam Foster,” along with philanthropists Phyllis Newhouse and Jack Sawyer. Adam Foster making its debut in Neiman Marcus at Lenox mall believes in the mission of the Street Dreamz Foundation and pledged to donate 10% of sales from the launch event to the foundation. The launch featured many notables such as music mogul Devyne Stephens, Radio Personality Frank Ski, Radio Personality Big Tiger, former NFL all-star and sports broadcaster Takeo Spikes and more.
