While the Hip-Hop community is scratching their head over the recent detaining and possible deportation of rap sensation 21 Savage, singer Demi Lavato’s joking remarks about the situation has brought her tweeting to an abrupt halt.

The “Confident” singer totally deleted her account after Black Twitter came for her after her tweet about 21 Savage being arrested by ICE this weekend in Atlanta.

Lovato wrote on Twitter in a now-deleted tweet Sunday afternoon, “So far 21 savage memes have been my favorite part of the Super Bowl.”

The Hip Hop community immediately came to Savage’s defense, not finding the humor in the “Bank Account” rapper’s current impasse.

Savage, whose real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested on Sunday morning by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for reportedly overstaying his visa. He faces the possibility of deportation. He was reportedly born on the island of Dominica, which was a British colony.

Not long after deleting her Twitter, Lovato wrote another note on her IG Story about her prior tweets. She also shared screenshots of comments people made about it, including trolling her over her recent overdose and habitual drug use.

“Wasn’t laughing at anyone getting deported. I know that’s not a joke…not have I EVER laughed at that,” Lovato penned. “The meme I posted/was talking about was of him being writing with a feather pen. Sorry if I offended anyone.”
