On what would’ve been Bob Marley’s 74th birthday this year, Roots Canada paid tribute to Toronto’s annual “Bob Marley Day” by rereleasing its collaborative OVO varsity jacket. While that drop was super limited and pretty much only available to Canadians, menswear retailer Ovadia & Sons just followed up with a tribute of its own that’s a little more accessible to the masses.
Making for a classic set of tribute T-shirts, the collection features crisp photos of Marley etched over a range of premium hoodies, crewnecks, and tees for a simple-yet-traditional touch. Bob in the studio, Bob playing soccer, Bob smoking that good, well, you know what he was known for — all of these moments were caught on camera and are now featured throughout this small offering. However, what you don’t get in quantity is most certainly made up for with the overall quality of this collection. Big up.
