Legendary Syracuse men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim hit and killed a man with his car on Interstate 690 late Wednesday night. Syracuse.com reports the man who was hit was involved in a car accident prior to the incident with Boeheim.
The man was reportedly 51 and had four more people in the car that was crashed. Once he exited his car, Boeheim drove by and struck the man.
Boeheim is cooperating with the investigation, with more details to come forward from the Syracuse police Chief. The road conditions were stated to be icy.
Jim Boeheim and his Syracuse Orange basketball team were just featured in on ESPN picking up a big home victory over 18 ranked rival Louisville Cardinals in ESPN Rivalry Week. The next game for the Orange is against the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils. More details regarding Boeheim as they become available.
