Johnny Football is back! After a stint in the Canadian Football League didn’t go as planned, the former Cleveland Brown, Johnny Manziel, is finding a new home in the Alliance of American Football.
The announcement came Saturday of the signing of the college superstar by the Memphis Express of the AFF. Manziel was previously a member of the San Antonio Commanders but picked up off waivers by the Express.
The contract signed by Manziel is a three-year deal, which delivers a total salary of $250,000.
“We are pleased to welcome Johnny Manziel to Alliance of American Football, which we’ve always described as a league of opportunity for talented players to launch or revitalize their pro football careers,” AAF co-founder Bill Polian said to ESPN.
There are not in current details on when we could see Manziel take the field.
