A couple of weeks ago Tiger Woods latest Master’s victory captivated America. This week, Woods received the Presidential Medal of Freedom by his golf buddy and President Donald Trump.
The ceremony was held at the Rose Garden at the White House on Monday (May 7). Trump placed the medal around the neck of the golf legend and spoke glowingly of his efforts on the green.
“Tiger Woods is a global symbol of American excellence, devotion and drive. These qualities embody the American spirit of pushing boundaries, defying limits and always striving for greatness.”
Back in April, Trump let his Twitter followers know he would award Woods with the medal of freedom.

It’s an incredible privilege to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Considering the recipients, history, and what this means to me and my family, it’s also very humbling. Thank you all for your support and I hope this inspires others to never give up on their dreams. pic.twitter.com/33CJIHwQvz
