It looks like Rihanna isn’t the only pop star joining LVMH this week. Givenchy, one of the premiere luxury fashion houses under the multi-brand conglomerate, has officially unveiled that the new face for its upcoming FW19 campaign will be none other than pint-size pop queen herself Ariana Grande.
The French luxury house chose to use the classic silhouette-from-the-back unveiling technique on social media, but fans were quick to spot Ari’s signature ponytail. Her duties will fall in line with promoting the brand’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2019 campaign, which is scheduled to release towards July. To make the social campaign even more official, the label came up with the hashtag #ARIVENCHY, which may or may not be incorporated into the apparel side of things.
Here’s what the thank u, next singer had to say about the union in a statement:
“It is a House I have forever admired and to now be part of that family is such an honor. I love this clothing and the confidence and joy it brings to the people wearing it. Not only is the clothing timeless and beautiful but I’m proud to work with a brand that makes people feel celebrated for who they are, and unapologetic about whatever they want to be.”
