Sometimes where you get the least love is your own hometown. That rings true for Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis as video of him in Latvia show he was jumped and left bloody.
The star big man is seen in the video with a cut under his eye and his clothes tattered following an altercation. A source close to the Mavs state Porzingis was jumped by unknown men and defended himself prior to security halting the attack. While objects were thrown and used against the hooper, no significant injuries were sustained.
While he has not created any headlines for being on the court, KP has plenty of them off the hardwood. In March, he was accused of rape by a woman in New York City, with the news of the attack, it may just be a long summer for Porzingis.
The Mavericks are investigating All-Star Kristaps Porzingis’ altercation in Europe over weekend and current understanding is he was jumped at a club, assaulted and hit by objects, @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium has learned.
