‘Shottas’ Star Louie Rankin Passes Away in Fatal Car Crash

Dancehall legend Leonard Forbes aka Louie Rankin who was best known for his role as Ox in the movie “Belly”  died in a fatal car crash in Canada on Monday evening.

Details are still coming in about the Grammy-award winning artist who was born in Jamaica and stole the show as the ‘Original Don Dada’ in the urban classic “Shottas”.

Louie starred alongside legends Nas and DMX in the 1998 crime drama “Belly” and instantly became a fan favorite for his rugged rude boy style. But it was his outstanding performance in the movie “Shottas” that made him a fan favorite.

He released a single in 1992 called “Typewriter,” which went on to win a Grammy solidifying him in the ranks of the reggae heavy hitters.
