The team has been working relentlessly to compete in the UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida, but unfortunately they couldn’t afford the trip. They launched a GoFund Me campaign asking for financial support to cover flights, accommodations, and meals. The power couple caught wind of the campaign and did the right thing.

KIPP WHMS Monarchs come from a marginalized and under-resourced community. Leveraging the strength of their families, overcame personal and financial hardships to provide incredible opportunities for their children to live out their dreams; one of them being cheerleading. All participating students maintained at least a 80 percent GPA or above all while attributing to a positive school culture. On top of having school days that are 9 hours long, each cheerleader persists for long nights and Saturday practices to achieve their ultimate goal; a bid to the UCA Cheerleading Nationals Championship. After its only three years of existence as a team, they qualified for the most prestigious cheerleading competition in the country.

Now they’re going to the Nationals with the help of Swizz and Alicia. This sounds like a scene straight out of the classic film, Bring It On.
