‘Bad Boys for Life’ Extends No. 1 Run to the Third Week, Becomes Highest Grossing Film in Franchise

Bad Boys For Life has extended its run at the top of the box office to a third week becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise.

Globally the film has pulled in $291 million, $20 million over the $271 million Bad Boys II made in the entirety of its theater run. The original 1995 film did $141 worldwide, Variety reports.

This weekend’s total for the third run of Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett played by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, respectively, was $17.7 million. Bringing the total to $148 million in the US. Top-earning areas for the film include the United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico, and Australia.
