Donald Trump Was Acquitted of Articles of Impeachment

The US Senate voted to acquit Donald Trump of both impeachment articles he was facing. In other words: He is staying in office.

The President was found not guilty of abuse of power on a 52-48 vote and not guilty of obstruction of Congress on a 53-47 vote. Sen. Mitt Romney was the only Republican to join Democrats in voting to remove Trump.

Trump’s impeachment trial was the shortest in American history, spanning for a little over two weeks.
