The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Set for Over 400K Units in First Week

The Weeknd is set to have the biggest debut of 2020 with his new album After Hours. The latest release from Abel is projected to move over 400,000 album-equivalent units in the first week.

HitsDailyDouble states of the 400,000 units, 200,000 are from traditional album sales. The album is now threatening BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7, for the top slot at 422,000 units in the first week.

After Hours got 100 million global streams in day one. His past efforts included Kiss Land debuting at 92,000, Beauty Behind the Madness at 412,000, Starboy at 348,000 and the My Dear Melancholy EP hitting at 169,000.
