SOURCE SPORTS: Aldon Smith Returns to NFL on One-Year Deal with Cowboys

After a four year hiatus from the NFL, defensive end Aldon Smith signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys for $4 million, ESPN reports.

The former Mizzou Tiger hit Instagram to share the news, writing, “Life is good. I’m thankful. I’m blessed. I’m a Cowboy.”

“I’ve learned how to take a different perspective on the adversities of life,” Smith wrote in a statement. “Instead of looking at life as a victim, I have embraced the journey as God has planned it, making exponential strides toward becoming a better man.”

Smith’s last game was in 2015. During his career he recorded 47.5 sacks across 59 games. He played for both the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders.
