On April 3, her 23rd birthday, Kiana Ledé released her debut album, cementing her as a powerhouse and a future mainstay of the R&B scene. The album is titled KIKI and is a 17-song debut offering.
The album features additional R&B stars in Lucky Daye, Ari Lennox, Arin Ray, and 6lack. The album pours her emotions and real-life into each song.
“Literally, all of these songs are so close to my heart, but I would say ‘Cancelled’ is one that means the most to me,” she said to Billboard. “‘Cause I wrote it about a friend, and her getting f–ked over by the same dude over and over again.”
This October, Ledé is set to tour Europe, hopefully, United States dates are available once we have a sense of normalcy after COVID-19 is contained.
