The league named Michael Ma the new CEO of NBA China. Ironically, Ma is the son of MA Guoili, one of the founders of the CCTV network, and played a part in bringing the games to television in the nation in the 1990s.
With no games being aired in the nation, $300 million flew out the window in revenue.
Add the missing money from China with the impact of COVID-19 and the NBA is having a rough financial year.
