Brooklyn songstress Phoenixx has released her latest music video, “Halfway”. The longing ballad details the tumultuous back and forth of a relationship on the rocks, as the visual follows Phoenixx herself as both a narrator and participant in the heartbreak of what one will (or won’t) do for love.
She says of the single, “When I wrote Halfway, I was in a ‘situationship’ that was toxic and headed nowhere. The person I was with expected me to accommodate him constantly while refusing to change. I ultimately realized that I could either accept the situation or leave, as there are only two options past the point of compromise. ”
Phoenixx is an artist, songwriter, vocalist, host, and media personality born and raised in Brooklyn NY. Entering the music scene as a songwriter with Lil’ Eddie Serrano and
Shaliek Rivers, Phoenixx has since stepped into the spotlight as a solo R&B act. Rising through the ashes of adversity she encountered from an early age, Phoenixx brings a smoldering presence to the stage. With a range of influences as diverse as New York City itself, the result is amalgamation of sounds she likens to gumbo. “With the TLC (tender loving care) of home cooking baked into each project, Phoenixx shows up ready to shine on her own terms.” states Lynn K. Hobson, Publicist. “Phoenixx is a breath of fresh air.”
