Atlanta Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms held a press conference Friday night after the protesting turned into chaos. In the press conference, she scolded the protestors and told people to go home.

“This is not a protest. This is not in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. This is chaos,” Mayor Bottoms said Friday night in a press conference. Her sentiments were met with mixed criticism as many people applauded her leadership while others thought she did not side with the protestors.

“If we lose Atlanta, what else we got?” Killer Mike said. “We lose an ability to plot, to plan, to strategize, to organize and to properly mobilize. I want you to go home. I want you to talk to 10 of your friends. I want you guys to come up with real solutions.”

Late Friday night, Governor Brian Kemp issued a state of emergency for Fulton County and announced that as many as 500 National Guard Troops were being deployed.
