This NBA season has been difficult to manage for NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and other NBA executives but the challenges seem to be coming to an end. On Thursday, the NBA revealed new dates for the NBA Draft and the Draft lottery.
The NBA has decided to move the NBA Draft Lottery to August 25th and the NBA Draft will take place after the season concludes on October 15. After the draft day, the new rookies will have roughly two months before they play their first pro games with a December 1 start date in the works for next season.
The current season resumes on July 31 with 22 of the 30 teams being permitted to play. The Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota Timberwolves now own the worst three records in the NBA giving them a 14 percent chance of landing the number one pick in the draft.
Georgia Bulldogs guard Anthony Edwards, former Memphis Tigers Center James Wiseman, and Australia’s NBL Illawara Hawks guard LaMelo Ball are expected to be the top three picks.
