StaySolidRocky is rising on the Hot 100 chart and it is something to take notice. The Virginia-based rapper first wrote his breakout hit, “Party Girl” last July. He later recorded it at a friend’s house after not having access to a legitimate recording studio. In this day and age, you can transform the latest iPhone into a studio. After ingeniously posting a number of snippets on Instagram, he garnered enough buzz to upload the song to Soundcloud. He released the video back in December 2019.
Fast forward to six months into 2020 and StaySolidRocky has one of the top 30 songs in the country. “Party Girl” became an instant hit on Tiktok and has racked up over 30 million views on Youtube. In the emo-rap track, the Columbia Records artist yearns for the attention of a girl who loves to party. At the same token, he does his best to compete with his love interest’s addiction to the party scene.
StaySolidRocky currently sits at No. 26 on the Hot 100 chart after debuting at No. 84. less than two months ago.
