There’s nothing like a long break from music to get the creative juices flowing again. When the fingers start itching to lay down some beats and when the brain starts boiling with new lyrics is when the magic is ready to start happening. The Oregon-native rapper Prxscott’s been busy with making sure his plans for 2021 pan out.
After taking a break that resulted in him writing “Black People in Oregon?” an account of what life is like for Black people in one of the whitest states in America, it seems that he’s ready to give his fans what they’ve been yearning for: some brand new tracks.
Currently, Prxscott has three different projects that should flourish over the next year or so. There’s the follow-up to his Northeast Legends EP, Northeast Legends Vol 2, as well as the Alberta Trap District and Euros & Pounds. It seems like the year’s going to be a busy one for Prxscott, but that’s not unusual for this artist.
By his admission, Prxscott is a fan of the process; he loves making music, the meeting of the minds, and the talents that occur when people are united by the common goal of creating something new and great in a studio. After being away from this for a while, it only makes sense that he’ll be back at it with renewed fervor.
While waiting for the new releases, fans of good music can enjoy his back catalog as well as his written word. “Black People in Oregon?” is a book that just screams to be given a movie treatment.
