Elon Musk Changes Title at Tesla From CEO to ‘Technoking’

Elon Musk is one of the wealthiest people on this earth but that doesn’t stop him in indulging in what could be considered “childlike” behavior. The Tesla founder and CEO recently changed his title at his company from CEO to “Technoking.”

According to a statement made by Tesla, Musk will retain the role of Chief Executive Officer, but will be under the new name of “Technoking.” Tesla’s CFO also chose to go by a new title “Master of Coin.”

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Tesla stated that “Effective as of March 15, 2021, the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn have changed to Technoking of Tesla and Master of Coin, respectively.”

At this time, however, it is unclear why the two decided to change the name of their titles. Maybe they just thought their new titles sounded cooler than their last ones. Some speculate the two changed the names of their titles because of the company’s new investment in cryptocurrencies.

Last month, Tesla announced a $1.5 billion investment into Bitcoin, causing the price of Bitcoin to hit almost $60,000.
