Nearly 50 years of experience in the jewelry industry exists across two generations of the Arik family. In the 1970s, Isa Arik operated a jewelry business in his hometown of Istanbul, Turkey, and spent his time at the local bazaar displaying his work and expanding his business. There to watch him succeed firsthand were Isa’s children Gabe and Danny. Now, halfway across the globe in Southern California, Gabe and Danny Arik are continuing the family tradition with their own business: Happy Jewelers.
“Jewelry makes people happy, and we want to make people happy,” Happy Jewelers co-founder Gabe Arik says. “So, while we know Happy Jewelers can sound corny, we love it, and our customers do too.” The Arik family relocated to California as Isa’s own jewelry business began to grow. In 2000, the Arik brothers took the knowledge they had learned from their father and opened Happy Jewelers together.
One of the biggest aspects of the Arik brothers’ business model that separates them from competitors is their ability to manufacture their own products. With this autonomy in the design process, the brothers are able to imagine, create, and oversee the cutting-edge designs that Happy Jewelers provides to their clientele.
“[We] offer the best pricing in the industry and maintain optimum quality control, but best of all, deliver what we promise, 100% satisfaction guaranteed,” the brothers remark. Since Happy Jewelers is a separate entity from their father’s jewelry business, Gabe and Danny had to pave their own path in the industry and found great success doing so at a very young age.
The unsurpassed product quality and customer service that Happy Jewelers offers are the driving forces behind the immense success that the Arik brothers have been able to create for themselves. From the inception of their business, the brothers set a standard for themselves, in terms of professionalism, knowledge, and customer satisfaction in the jewelry industry, setting them apart from their competitors.
As trendsetters in their industry, Happy Jewelers operates on a more personalized level, unlike most chain jewelers. They are a family business at heart and aim to treat all of their customers as though they are a part of their family.
“Family is everything,” Gabe shares ecstatically. “We are a close family and my brother, Danny, and I carry that into the way we treat our team members, as well as our customers.” Truly, what separates Happy Jewelers from their competitors, is an internal culture of respect and kinship like no other.
